The climate initiative was founded in 2011 by the Senate of Economy at the international ministerial conference in Bonn/Germany. As a neutral platform, it initiates international reforestation projects in accordance with the highest social and ecological standards together with politics, business and society.
AEG ID was awarded the "Klimaförderer 2020" award by the Senate of Economy.
AEG ID is a founding member of the Alliance for Development and Climate, which was initiated in autumn 2018 by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). All members are actively involved in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Climate Agreement.
But AEG ID is also committed to regional sustainability and decided this year to do its bit to help save the bees. Given its headquarters' natural surroundings in Ulm, the company opted to host bee colonies. Some 60,000 busy bees now buzz around the grounds of the high-tech company, making a valuable contribution to pollination and healthy plant growth.
